The Japanese teenager showed great composure to set up Ivan Klasnic for Bolton’s late winner and earn the Man of the Match award in his third Premier League start for Wanderers.

“Ryo is a different type of player to Jack, but there’s no doubt he can have a similar impact,” said Coyle.

“He came on at half-time against Wigan and he was the best player on the pitch.

“At Millwall he scored a wonder goal. He frightened the life out of Chelsea and did the same last week at Man City.”
