Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle says England coach Fabio Capello should consider Zat Knight for a late World Cup call.
The former Aston Villa man, who has two caps, has been in commanding form to help shore up Wanderers' leaky defence in recent weeks.
And he hopes to help keep a sixth clean sheet for Coyle at Sunderland tonight.
Coyle said: "Should Zat be in the frame? Why not. He's played for England before and you can see why.
"Matthew Upson is in the squad and we were up against him at the weekend, but Zat was just as accomplished.
"I see no reason why he shouldn't be mentioned with Upson and the others."
