Bolton boss again has pop at player's attitude

Bolton boss Gary Megson has questioned his player's attitude for the second time in a fortnight following their 2-1 defeat by fellow strugglers Wolves at Molineux. It means the Wanderers find themselves second bottom of the table, only two points clear of Portsmouth and Megson wants to see a big improvement.

He told BBC Sport: "We left it too late. We had a really good go but for some reason we have players here who will play as they want to play rather than as to what is dictated.

"We did the same at Manchester United and in quite a few games where we have gone one or two goals behind before we roll our sleeves up and play as we should do.

"I don't like criticising our players on television or in front of the papers but we have some players who are not playing like I know they can.

"There is a long way to go and a lot of games to be played. If we play them all in the manner we did in the last 20 minutes we will not even be close to the bottom.

"But we have been saying that for a while. Our club has got to be treated a bit better than this. When we go out there people have got to go and perform."
