Bolton Wanderers plan to cash in on Johan Elmander to boost new manager Owen Coyle's January transfer kitty.

Coyle has been handed &pond;5 million to spend this month, but can add to that by selling the Swede.

Olympique Marseille are keen to bring Elmander back to France.

Elmander, who needs more playing time and would welcome a kick-start to his career, would certainly be seen as a better sacrificial lamb than Gary Cahill.
