Bolton Wanderers are launching a £3 million bid for Aston Villa defender Zat Knight.

The People says Trotters boss Gary Megson wants the towering defender who has been in and out of the Villa side since his big-money move from Fulham.

Knight - whose best mate Sean Davis signed for Bolton last week - would also be an ideal partner for Gary Cahill.
