Bolton Wanderers signing Tuncay Sanli admits he could be playing for Liverpool.
The Reds showed interest when Tuncay was leaving Middlesbrough two years ago - but he had committed to Stoke.
It did not work out at Stoke or when he joined Steve McClaren at Wolfsburg in January.
Tuncay, 29, said: "Liverpool is such a great club. But Middlesbrough never told me of their interest.
"I'm just relieved to be back in the Premier League and I want to stay here."
