Bologna has been rocked by the loss of striker Gabriele Paonessa for the rest of the season.
The former Under 21 international has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Sitting second from bottom, Bologna will be looking to the January transfer market to strengthen their squad.
