Bologna have signed former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah.

The former Fenerbahce and Juventus midfielder has signed with Bologna in the last 24 hours.

Appiah has been searching for a club since being released by Fenerbahce midway through last season. He is still some weeks away from being match-ready.

His last Italian job was in Turin in 2004-05 and the player will turn 29 next month.
