Bologna are locked in talks with Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini.

TMW says Bologna football chief Pantaleo Corvino met with Giaccherini's agents yesterday.

Talks were positive, however the meeting broke up without any agreement.

Giaccherini has been encouraged by Sunderland to find a new club this week.

Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat stated this week that Giaccherini's game did not suit the Premier League.
