Bologna keeper Viviano being watched by Man City boss Mancini

Manchester City scouts are watching Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.

City boss Roberto Mancini has recommended Viviano to his board as they seek a replacement for want-away Irishman Shay Given.

City scouts Barry Hunter and Gary Worthington were in Italy last week to check on Viviano in action against Lecce.

The Italy international's registration is co-owned with Mancini's former club, Inter Milan.
