Bologna defender Daniele Portanova is confident they will be safe this season.

They currently sit four points above the dropzone.

"We need to forget about this defeat as soon as possible," said Portanova. "Inter are a much better team and there was nothing we could do to stop them.

"From next Sunday a new campaign starts for us and we are focused on it. There are six games left and we have an advantage.

"Bologna are not tired, you have to consider in the last few weeks we have played against the best Serie A sides.

"We are united and have proved it on the pitch. We hope the fans will back us but if not we will avoid relegation on our own because there is no way Bologna are going down this year.

"We will have to go from strength to strength, trying to forget the past and giving our best in these games. At least we know we don't have to play Roma or Inter again."
