Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez has praised the form of uncapped Bologna defender Miguel Britos.

"I have been following him for a while," Tabarez told Uruguay daily newspaper Stadio. "But I don't want to put any pressure on him.

"We already have excellent defenders like Diego Lugano, Gerardo Alcoba and Diego Godin," the former Cagliari and Milan boss revealed.

"Britos is a player with personality. If you watch how he moves, how he defends, you see that he is destined to become a great defender."
