Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is close to making former Inter Milan teammate Cesar his first signing.

Free agent Cesar is currently training with Bologna and Mihajlovic said: "I have spoken with the club several days ago, but no decisions have been taken.

"Cesar is an important player, I hold him in high esteem, if he's fit he can make a difference.

"He is a great professional and has the advantage of being able to play in every role on the wings: wing-back or more forward, also left or right."
