Bollywood star Judan Ali set for key Blackburn role

Bollywood star and former Arsenal junior Judan Ali is in line to work at Blackburn Rovers.

The Sun says the crisis-hit Lancashire club yesterday ditched Henning Berg just 57 days and 10 games after appointing him.

Coaches Eric Black, Bobby Mimms and Iain Brunskill were also shown the door by global advisor Shebby Singh less than 24 hours after the Boxing Day defeat at Middlesbrough.

And owners Venky's have offered former Arsenal trainee Ali, 39, a place in their new coaching set-up - even though they have yet to decide on Berg's successor.

He could even be involved in training at Brockhall today and help prepare the players for tomorrow's Championship match at Barnsley.

Ali is a big star in India, having played a footballer in the 2007 feature Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal - a rags-to-riches story set in West London's Asian football-playing community.
