Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has lifted the lid on his extravagant barnet.
Bolasie has pledged to keep his new-look go-faster blond stripe which he got on international duty with Congo, who play him as a striker.
It has coincided with Bolasie's best-ever form for club and country after also scoring two goals as Congo beat Sierra Leone to reach the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 25-year-old told the Mirror: "I got the haircut done in Congo, I thought I would go for something different.
"I think it really suits me. Ever since I have had the haircut it has been doing me well: two goals and two assists.
"It is going to have to stay, it has given me good luck so far. One of my cousins in Congo says it is a bit of a trend over there now.
"You get hero-like stuff there. We have to have security everywhere you go, the airport was rammed after we qualified - there were about 25,000 people there."
