Bojinov happy to have returned to Lecce

Former Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov is delighted to have returned to Lecce.

The Bulgarian joined Lecce last week from Sporting Lisbon.

“My will was clear,” stated Bojinov, who was also linked in January with other former clubs Fiorentina and Parma.

“When I left, I never stopped following Lecce. When I returned, I did it for the love of Lecce.

“At 18 you can make many mistakes. I came back not for the money, but only because I want to win and I intend to put myself into first team consideration.

“I don’t want to cause any problems, the Coach will decide who will go on the pitch.”
