Livorno trumped Roma for Chievo Verona striker Erjon Bogdani last night.
"I am looking for a side that will let me play regular first team football, but at Roma I would have only been on the bench," said the Albanian striker, who moves to Livorno for £2.7 million.
The deal is a loan with an option to buy for a fixed price at the end of the season.
Livorno also clinched a deal for Honduras international Edgar Alvarez, ironically from Roma.
