Bodyguards needed as Inter Milan boss Mourinho enters Barcelona cauldron

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho needed bodyguards to ward off crazy Barcelona fans as he entered the Nou Camp yesterday. Mourinho was met by thousands of home supporters as he arrived yesterday and was showered with abusive chants. He was called the 'son of a whore' and received a dismissive two-word salute when he left.

The former Chelsea manager hopes to guide Inter Milan past a brilliant Barca team and into the final of the Champions League for the first time since 1972.

It promises to be an explosive second leg of an intriguing semi-final tonight, with Thiago Motta fuelling the flames by branding Barcelona a team of divers.

"We're used to seeing Barcelona players diving a lot so we have to help the referee," he said.

Mourinho added: "I am worried about players that want to complicate the life of the referee."
