Rangers recruit Carlos Bocanegra says he is keen to win as many medals as he can with his new club.

Ahead of Wednesday night's League Cup clash with First Division club Falkirk, the USA skipper has indicated that he is desperate to secure any silverware no matter what the competition.

"I don't have any club medals, that was a big reason behind coming here," the former Saint-Etienne defender said.

"I want to win stuff and this is the first chance I will get.

"You always think that the opportunity to win trophies could have passed you by.

"I made it to a final in France we ended up losing and that was a terrible feeling.

"I hope I have the opportunity to win things here."
