Boca Juniors refuse to give up hope of landing Villarreal midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme for the coming Argentine season.

Riquelme will today train for the first time with his Villarreal teammates since December, while his agents, Daniel Bolotnicoff and Marcos Franchi, continue to work on trying to get him back to Boca.

Sources have told AS that Boca intend to register Riquelme's name with the Argentine FA and will ask the federation for an extra week as they attempt to broker a deal with Villarreal.
