Boca Juniors striker Rodrigo Palacio is in Genoa to finalise his move to the Serie A club.
"I am happy at the prospect of playing here in a club like Genoa," he told the official Grifone website.
"It is a great opportunity for my career that comes at the right time. Genoa are an ambitious side who want to improve upon last season's high levels."
The hitman also commented on the historic links between this port city and Buenos Aires.
"I am here to bring you the good wishes of your Boca cousins, where so many families of Genovese immigrants settled."
