Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici has declared Juventus striker Carlos Tevez will return next year.
Tevez began his career with Boca before moving onto Corinthians.
"Tevez's plan is to wear our jersey again," declared Angelici in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"To return after such a long time to play two or three 'comfortable' years at home. He wants this, his children want it and so does all of his family.
"Of course, his plans could change over a year and a half, but at this moment his plan is to return to us in 2016.
"I was not surprised when Tevez said he didn't intend to renew his contract with Juventus. It also goes without saying our door is wide open for him.
"Tevez isn't just a former Boca player for the fans: he is an idol. The feeling is mutual, as he goes to bed very late in order to watch the Boca games on television despite the time difference.
"The player's intention is the only weapon Boca have to hope for his return in 2016, as our economic situation wouldn't get us anywhere close to his price-tag or his wages."
