“We hope that Palacio’s move to Genoa can be completed soon,” Ameal told television stations in Argentina.
“There have been some important meetings and they continue today. We are on the right track, that is all I can say for the moment, but there is nothing signed yet.”
Genoa President Enrico Preziosi was more open in declaring the deal done save for the final details.
“My son is in Argentina and is concluding the deal for Palacio,” he told Radio Incontro.
“Once that is finalised, we will turn our attention to Sebastian Battaglia. My son discussed him with Boca, but they haven’t got back with a definitive answer yet.”
