Boca Juniors have announced defender Gabriel Paletta is joining Palermo.

Boca football chief Carlos Bianchi revealed: "We received a fax from Palermo with the request for payment of the loan for Paletta.

"We have accepted the offer, the player will join the preseason training camp of Palermo on Monday."
