Boateng insists Hull confident going into Man Utd clash

Hull City midfielder George Boateng says the players are confident going into their clash with Manchester United.

Boateng insists there were plenty of positives to draw from their 3-0 reverse at Arsenal last weekend.

He told Hull's website: "Not many teams go to Arsenal and play the way we did.

"You can see that we are more together now. Yes we lost, but we didn't die like we did at Liverpool. We tried to play football and tried to create chances.

"They hit us on the counter-attack because we had so many men forward, but as a team we should be proud that we gave a good account of ourselves and that is what we can take into the game against Manchester United.

"We didn't deserve to be 1-0 down at half time. We did everything right and the manager had the tactics right. We performed well and limited them to few chances.

"It's a shame that the referee gave them the free kick (for the opening goal) because I don't think it was a free kick.

"It's very frustrating because we've been here before. In the first game of the season against Chelsea, the same thing happened for them to equalise.

"But this is football. We had to dust ourselves down at half time, but our penalty miss was probably the turning point."
