Kevin-Prince Boateng was delighted with a winning performance for AC Milan in victory over Fiorentina.
The Rossoneri emerged 2-0 winners with Carlos Bacca and Boateng scoring.
“It was an important game for us, for many reasons," Boateng told Mediaset Premium.
There had been reports Sinisa Mihajlovic would be sacked if he didn't win this evening.
“We wanted to win and we did it, so we are very happy. It wasn't easy to beat Fiorentina. This is a victory for Mihajlovic and all the Milanisti.
“I am here to work and I want to do well. I thank the Coach and the President. This goal is important for me, as I did suffer last summer.
“This was a perfect day. There's nothing better than scoring at San Siro."
