Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng is now a Bayern Munich player after completing his permanent move to Germany. Boateng joined City from Hamburg in a £10 million deal last summer but struggled with form and fitness in 2010-11, making just 16 Premier League appearances.
Bayern swooped to sign him for a fee reported to be around £15 million and a statement on the City website read:
''The 22-year-old full-back or central defender was on the summer tour of North America but flew to Germany late last week to finalise terms with Bayern. Everyone at the Club wishes him well for the future.''
