Former Middlesbrough star George Boateng says Chelsea must find a job for John Terry.

Terry is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after over 20 years at the club.

Boateng says the 36-year-old deserves a job at Chelsea following his retirement but he cannot blame manager Antonio Conte for axing him.

"In John's case, he has accepted the situation and he can't complain when the team is winning," Boateng told Sky Sports.

"But surely he deserves to have a function at the club.

"Whether it's an assistant role or a head of recruitment job.

"He's part of the furniture at Chelsea."
