Boateng and Portsmouth in stand-off

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Portsmouth are banging heads over which Italian team to join. The Ghana midfielder has set his sights on joining Genoa in Italy's Serie A.

But Lazio are offering Portsmouth significantly more money for the 23 year old, according to the club's administrator.

Andrew Andronikou said: "I'm discussing with Kevin his position and he will be leaving the club - but it's just a matter of time and how much we get for him.

"His representatives are trying to put pressure on us to accept far less money than he is worth.

"He wants to go to Genoa but we have a much higher offer from Lazio and we are trying to bridge the two and the sooner we can move it on the better."
