British rock/popstar Damon Albarn admits he is a massive fan of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
The 46-year old, who is best known as the frontman of rock act 'Blur', is a lifelong fan of Chelsea Football Club and recently professed his love for the Blues' own rockstar Mourinho who once referred to himself as 'The Special One'.
London-born Albarn, who is also the principal songwriter for the 'Gorillaz', told Absolute Radio that he is loving having Portuguese tactician Mourinho back at Stamford Bridge following the 51-year olds return to the southwest London club from Real Madrid last summer.
Albarn also touched on the performances of some of Chelsea's key players this season, highlighting young gun Eden Hazard and Brazilian midfielder Willian.
"Mourinho - I'm delighted he's back! To us he is the special one," Albarn, who last week released his debut solo album 'Everyday Robots', told Pete Mitchell.
"I've met him, I've been very lucky to meet him.
"As for the team, I still enjoy those moments where (Fernando) Torres shows glimpses. On his day, Eden Hazard is spellbinding, I think Willian's been a bit of revelation this season and I like (Nemanja) Matic but I still like the old crew, I think they're all still earning their place."
Albarn also offered his thoughts on this season's Premier League title race which now has Chelsea within two points of league leaders Liverpool following their 2-0 win at Anfield on Sunday.
"The League is extremely tight and I think you'd be a fool to predict the next couple of weeks," he added.
"I would imagine it's Liverpool's. I mean in a way it's right in a sense. I personally wouldn't be upset if Liverpool won because I think they've consistently been a fantastic team this year. Obviously I want Chelsea to win but you know in a way maybe I think our prize lies somewhere in Portugal in May (in the Champions League)."
Albarn, who is responsible for such Blur and Gorillaz albums as 'Modern Life is Rubbish', 'Parklife' and 'Demon Days', also shared his views on the David Moyes situation at Manchester United.
The Whitechapel-born singer-songwriter had it in his mind that former Everton boss Moyes would never last at Old Trafford and has suggested he try his luck in another competition altogether following his failures with the Red Devils.
"Moyes was never, ever going to last a year," Albarn added.
"I never actually looked at him and genuinely thought, 'This guy is going to be able to last a year.; And all that rubbish about, 'Oh no, United are, you know we stick with our managers' that's a bygone era and it was pretty naive.
"I think that's a shame because I don't think it's fair on David Moyes. I feel sorry for him but you know he's well out of it now. He won't be working in the Premier League for a while. He should go abroad."
