Daley Blind insists he expects to be part of Jose Mourinho's new-look Manchester United next season.
There's been talk of Blind being sold by United this summer, but the Dutchman insists he's looking forward to meeting with his new manager.
"Mourinho has achieved a lot and I look forward to working with him," Blind told NIS.
Asked if he sees himself remaining at centre-half under Mourinho, Blind continued: "We'll see. I'm going to do my best and work hard. I'm not as big as Pepe for example, but I think I showed that I can hold my own in the Premier League.
"We have completed the season at United conceding the fewest goals in the Premier League and also managed to earn the most clean sheets. in addition, I played almost every match. That's a good feeling."
Blind was also asked about last week's sacking of Louis van Gaal.
"It's a difficult and embarrassing situation. I think everyone was taken aback quite a bit over the news and how things went.
"I've always very much enjoyed working under Van Gaal and learned so much from him. I am grateful that he gave me this opportunity at United and always showed great confidence in me.
"I sent him a message after his resignation and then we briefly spoke."
