Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg wants his side to improve on yesterday's 0-0 draw with Brisbane Roar.
Bleiberg as complimentary of his players for keeping a clean sheet but knows they must get better in order to take maximum points, especially when playing at home.
"We didn't play well today but on the positive side we didn't concede a goal and we didn't lose the game," he said.
"Credit to the Roar, they passed the ball well and were well organised. Perhaps we were a little over confident but we did improve a lot in the second half after making a few adjustments during the break.
"We had a few opportunities as well so in the end it was probably a fair result. I think Roar will be pleased with the result, especially after last season, but we go away knowing we can do a lot better - and we will."
Gold Coast travel to New Zealand to take on the Wellington Phoenix in week 2 of the A-League on Friday.
