FIFA president Sepp Blatter says it was wrong to give Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi the Golden Ball for the World Cup's best player this summer.
The Argentina international was surprisingly awarded the gong in Brazil.
"I think the decision was incorrect. I was surprised when I received the committee's decision.
"They told me they had only looked at 10 of the players who took part in the final," said Blatter.
