FIFA president Sepp Blatter today made it clear that football's governing body will do everything they can to get things back on the right track.
Blatter was re-elected at today's congress in Switzerland and says the murky waters that the FIFA name has been dragged through in recent times will become clearer with a little bit of patience.
"We shall move forward, we will put Fifa's ship back on the right course in clear, transparent waters," he said.
"We need some time, we cannot do it overnight, but we will do it."
There was also approval for a new voting system for the World Cup after bribery allegations enveloped the 2018 and 2022 bids.
Blatter today said that FIFA's 24-man executive committee would choose a shortlist of nations to host the tournament and the 208 members would then vote on the host nation unlike recently when Russia and Qatar were chosen by the exco.
