France coach Laurent Blanc is wary of England's young strikers.

Manchester United starlet Danny Welbeck is expected to get the nod ahead of Liverpool's Andy Carroll for tonight's Euros opener.

Blanc said: "They're two very different players.

"Every player has his own qualities and Carroll is very good in the air.

"Welbeck is good at getting into space high up the pitch, so he can also cause us problems - particularly with the way the English play on the counter-attack.

"So we have to be wary and leave him as little space as possible."
