Laurent Blanc has implored his Paris Saint-Germain side to prove to the world that French football is up there with the best leagues in the world.
Ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final first leg, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho suggested that winning Ligue 1 would be easy in reference to Blanc's PSG taking out the French title last season.
However, the former Manchester United defender was quick to protect his side and his competition after guiding the Parisian giants to the French title last term.
"Maybe if we're talking about the league and I'm sure that Jose Mourinho knows the French league very well. There are two really big clubs in Ligue 1 (PSG and Monaco), but if I remember correctly, I think it was the same for him in Spain, with Barcelona and Madrid," said Blanc.
"The only answer we want to give is to show a great performance (on Wednesday) and we'd like to show that Ligue 1 has some very good teams and some very good players."
