On the eve of their clash with Inter Milan, Juventus GM Jean-Claude Blanc insists there was never a chance of them holding onto former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"He (Ibrahimovic) wanted to leave at a time of difficulty for the club," snapped Blanc. "We wanted to keep him, it was not possible.

"This game against Inter is important, but only worth three points."
