Blanc happy with Juventus market work

Juventus chief Jean-Claude Blanc is delighted with their summer market work.

"If I look back to just a month ago or if I think that on July 14, 2006 the first verdict was handed out relegating us to Serie B and that now we are about to start a new season in Serie A, I can only be happy," Blanc told the Press.

"We have built a young team, the average age is around 25, with many internationals and four world champions, as well as another player who appeared in the World Cup Final.

"Both the players and the management have experience and quality and now they will have to prove their value on the pitch. I am sure that if we work hard we will reap the rewards.

"We have created a strong team. I would say we have done 98 per cent, but we will be ready to seize any opportunities that may arise.

"What we did was to try to sign quality players that could be useful to Juventus, at the right price."
