Blackpool midfielder Keith Southern has thanked Everton fans for attending his testimonial.

Over 2,000 Blues supporters made the journey to Bloomfield Road to see the Toffees take on Blackpool as the Club's former Academy player was rewarded for his 10 years' of service to the Seasiders.

"It was always going to be the case that it would be a big crowd because Everton have got a fantastic following," the Gateshead-born 31-year-old told evertontv. "It was fantastic and I'm really pleased and really proud of everything, the way it's gone and that Blackpool got the right result.

"The Everton fans turned out in their numbers so I'm really pleased and thank you to them."
