Blackpool winger Ince dismisses taunting West Ham fans

Blackpool winger Tom Ince shrugged off the West Ham United taunts from fans at Wembley in Saturday's playoff defeat.

Ince's father Paul left Upton Park under a cloud after being photographed in a Manchester United shirt while still a Hammers player. With nothing forgotten, the West Ham faithful took it out on his son - but to no avail.

"That didn't bother me, I'm just devastated at the result. We created the better chances in the game," said Ince.

"Matt Phillips had two great chances in the first half but he didn't bury them. But these things happen and it is very frustrating, the most important thing now is that we bounce back.

"Whatever happened with my dad happened and you have just got to deal with it. All I can do is what I do on the pitch, so it was nice to get a goal.

"It was a dream to even play at a place like this, let alone get a goal.

"It is great to score but it is a bit dampening to not come away with the result we wanted.

"But like I said, the important thing is how we respond to this. We have to look at Reading and what they did - they were in the same position as us last year and ran away in the league this season.

"We will be trying to emulate that and we will be determined to go straight up next time."
