Blackpool struggle to match Swansea striker Dobbie wage demands

ChampionshipBlackpool have agreed a fee with Swansea for striker Stephen Dobbie, who spent part of last season on loan with the Seasiders, but are struggling with the players personal demands. The 29-year-old is refusing to lower his wage demands and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway says a deal cannot be struck until he agrees to the terms on offer.

"We've agreed a fee with Swansea but we can't agree wages with the boy, that's just the way it is," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.

"He thinks he's going to get all sorts of other offers and all sorts of money, and Swansea are telling us he's not going to.

"They've had no other interest so far, so hopefully it will all take care of itself.

"Would I like him? Yes. Would my chairman like him? Yes. But there are certain things we'll have to go through to get him."
