Blackpool striker Luke Varney says manager Ian Holloway was inspirational for their win at Liverpool.
He admits that events on Merseyside could not have gone any better for Holloway's Premier League debutants, but the 27-year-old has also made it clear that the club's continued success is no fluke.
"I am obviously delighted and it was a great team effort right from the start to the last minute," Varney told the Blackpool Gazette.
"You could see what it meant to us on the day. The gaffer's team talk was brilliant and got us right up for the game.
"It was a case of coming here and rolling our sleeves up because we knew it was going to be tough."
