Blackpool's Phillips eyes loan return with Sheff Utd

Blackpool winger Matt Phillips has no problems returning for another loan spell with League OneSheffield United if he fails to break into the first-team reckoning at Bloomfield Road. The 20-year-old scored six goals in as many starts for the Blades, and although his loan spell has ended, Phillips has not ruled out going back to Sheffield.

"I would definitely come back if an opportunity arose," he told The Star. "I have got see what Ian Holloway thinks now. Obviously he sent me away to get minutes and I've done that so we will take it from there.

"I went to United wanting to add goals to my game and I feel I have done that. Hopefully I helped the club along the way."

He added: "It has been great to come to a big club like United and play every week. I have been over the moon with how things have worked out and I would like to thank the lads and management for making me feel so welcome."
