Blackpool ready to up bid for Plymouth striker Wright-Phillips

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway hasn't given up on Plymouth Argyle striker Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Blackpool are back in the hunt for Wright-Phillips after having a first bid rejected over a week ago, but cash-strapped Argyle claim only one offer they have received is acceptable.

Plymouth's football consultant Peter Ridsdale revealed: "There are three clubs who have made bids since last Tuesday. One of them meets the value we have set for Bradley.

"That bid does require a player to leave the club concerned first if they are to go ahead with it.

"Two of the three bids are new to the table since last Tuesday.

"Bradley's market value is still there. Whatever problem he has got, it's only a short-term one.

"And presumably anybody wanting to sign him is intending to do so for a two or three-year period."
