Blackpool not giving up on Wigan trialist Diouf

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway refuses to give up on free agent El Hadji Diouf.

The Mirror says Ollie made a move for Diouf earlier this month, only to be told the former Liverpool, Bolton, Sunderland and Blackburn forward was on his way to a club in Greece.

However, the 30-year-old Senegal international has since resurfaced on trial at Wigan Athletic, who are looking for a replacement for knee-injury victim Hugo Rodallega.

That has prompted Holloway to get back in touch about a stint at Bloomfield Road, partnering Kevin Phillips up front.

Doncaster boss Dean Saunders is also hoping to talk to Diouf about leading his attack as Rovers try to fight their way out of the Championship's cellar.
