Blackpool are chasing Barnsley winger Adam Hammill.
The Mirror says Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is trying to launch a cut-price £500,000 January move for Hammill.
Former Liverpool trainee Hammill, 22, is attracting interest from Wigan, Bolton, Newcastle and West Brom after impressing as one of the in-form players in the Championship this season.
Hammill represents a bargain in January as he has a £500,000 buy-out clause in his contract and the Premier League clubs are circling.
Merseyside-born Hammill joined Barnsley in August 2009 but Liverpool are now fearful they may have made a mistake in letting him go because of the top flight interest in him.
