Rangers striker James Beattie has returned to English football with Blackpool where he will remain on loan until the end of the season. The 32-year-old has endured a frustrating time at Ibrox since moving from Stoke in August, making just 10 appearances.

Beattie was hampered by a hip injury early in his Ibrox career before struggling to force his way into the team.

Beattie has previously played for Blackburn, Southampton, Everton and more recently Stoke City in the Premier League.
