Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks is a shock target for Arsenal.
The Blackpool Gazette says Gilks could be a surprise target for Arsene Wenger - despite shipping six in front of the Arsenal boss.
According to reports in London, the Premier League-winning Frenchman is considering a move for Gilks in January.
Arsenal have had goalkeeping issues for a long time, and spent most of the summer chasing - but missing out on - Fulham's Mark Schwarzer.
Wenger wants a commanding presence between the posts to boost his title charge.
And Gilks has apparently caught his eye, with the Seasiders No.1 turning in a number of good performances this season, particularly at Newcastle and Liverpool.
