Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has confirmed he has failed in a move to sign Celtic winger Paddy McCourt. However, following the 26 year old's impressive display off the bench in Celtic's 4-1 win over St Johnstone, manager Tony Mowbray changed his mind.
Holloway was informed the former Derry City, Shamrock Rovers and Rochdale man could link up with his side only to be told he would not be coming.
"I don't blame his manager but he changed his mind," explained Holloway. "I was desperate for him.
"He was told he could come down today but he played so well last week that his manager has had to change his mind."
