Blackpool are eyeing Manchester United midfielder Matty Willock.

The Daily Mail says Blackpool are hoping to take Willock on loan for the season as they aim to launch a promotion bid to the Championship next season.

Willock, 21, impressed during a six-month loan spell at Scottish side St Johnstone but is expected to seek opportunities away from Old Trafford once again in 2018-19.

The Tangerines want to build on a positive last campaign in which they finished 12th in League One, which followed their promotion from League Two the previous year, and are looking to strengthen.

Willock is the eldest of three footballing brothers. All three came through Arsenal's academy but only the youngest, Joe, 18, remains on the books at the Emirates. Chris is now with Benfica.
